Cold Brew Ingredients

Method

Cold Brew Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Coffee and Water

In a large pitcher or jar, combine 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee with 4 cups of cold water. Stir gently to ensure all the coffee grounds are saturated.

  2. 2

    Steep the Coffee

Cover the pitcher or jar with a lid or plastic wrap, and let the coffee steep at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about 12 to 24 hours, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Strain the Brew

After steeping, place a fine mesh strainer or a coffee filter over another pitcher or a bowl. Slowly pour the coffee mixture through the strainer to separate the liquid from the coffee grounds.

  4. 4

    Serve the Cold Brew

Fill a glass with ice and pour the cold brew concentrate over the ice. If desired, add milk or cream and sweetener to taste. Stir gently to combine.

  5. 5

    Store the Remaining Brew

Store any leftover cold brew concentrate in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Dilute with water, milk, or cream before serving again, as needed.
