Rice Pilaf

Method

Steak Tips

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Cut the beef sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces. Season them with black pepper and salt.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic (from 3 cloves), soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Add the steak pieces to the mixture, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak pieces and sear for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Stir occasionally.

  4. 4

    Garnish

Once cooked, remove from heat and toss with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Rice Pilaf

  1. 5

    Sauté the Aromatics

In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion and minced garlic (from 2 cloves) and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Rice

Stir in the long-grain rice and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring frequently until the rice is lightly toasted.

  3. 7

    Combine with Broth

Pour in the chicken broth, add salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.

  4. 8

    Simmer

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

  5. 9

    Fluff and Garnish

Remove from heat, fluff the rice with a fork, and stir in chopped fresh parsley before serving.
