Method

Prepare the Bread

  1. 1

    Slice the Bread

Cut the baguette or Italian bread into 1-inch thick slices.

  2. 2

    Grill the Bread

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Brush one side of each bread slice with olive oil and place them oil-side down on the grill. Grill for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Flip and grill the other side for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Prepare the Topping

  1. 3

    Chop the Tomatoes

Dice the fresh tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 4

    Add Basil

Tear the fresh basil leaves into smaller pieces and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

  3. 5

    Add Mozzarella

Cut the mozzarella cheese into small cubes or tear it into small pieces and add it to the bowl.

  4. 6

    Season the Mixture

Add balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix gently to combine all the ingredients evenly.

Assemble the Bruschetta

  1. 7

    Top the Bread

Once the bread is grilled, remove it from the grill and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato, basil, and mozzarella mixture generously on top of each slice.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve the bruschetta immediately while the bread is still warm, garnished with additional basil if desired.
