Cook the Ground Beef
Add the ground beef to the pot and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, approximately 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add the Remaining Ingredients
Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Simmer the Chili
Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let simmer for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Prepare to Serve
Once the chili is done simmering, taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot in bowls.

Top each serving with a generous portion of shredded cheese and serve with tortilla chips on the side for dipping.
