Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Baking Dish

Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

Mixing Ingredients

  1. 3

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. 4

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.

  3. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to over mix. If using, fold in chocolate chips and/or chopped nuts.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

  2. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  3. 8

    Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove from oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.
