Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until all crumbs are evenly coated with butter.

  3. 3

    Press into Pan

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Use the bottom of a measuring cup for a smooth finish.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool while preparing the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Mix

Gradually add the granulated sugar to the creamed cheese and continue to beat until well combined, about 2 minutes.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Sour Cream and Vanilla

Add the sour cream and vanilla extract to the mixture and beat on low speed until just combined.

  4. 8

    Add Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 9

    Add Flour

Gently fold in the all-purpose flour using a spatula until fully incorporated.

  6. 10

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  7. 11

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

  8. 12

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and crack the door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool for 1 hour. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
