Brewing Ingredients

Method

Brewing Directions

  1. 1

    Mashing Process

Heat 5 gallons of water to 165°F. Add the pale malt and caramel malt to the water. Maintain the temperature at 152°F for 60 minutes.

  2. 2

    Sparging

After mashing, sparge the grains with hot water until you collect around 6.5 gallons of wort.

  3. 3

    Boiling

Bring the wort to a boil. Once boiling, add 1 oz of Citra hops. Boil for 60 minutes, adding the remaining hops at intervals: 1 oz of Mosaic at 15 minutes, 1 oz of Galaxy at 5 minutes, and the last 2 oz of Citra at flameout.

  4. 4

    Cooling and Fermentation

Cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller to 70°F. Transfer to a fermenter and pitch the yeast. Seal and ferment for 1-2 weeks.

  5. 5

    Bottling

Once fermentation is complete, bottle the beer with priming sugar. Let it carbonate for another 2 weeks.

  6. 6

    Enjoy

Chill the bottles and serve in a glass, enjoying the hazy IPA experience!
