Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Dough
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a large circle, about 12 inches in diameter.
- 2
Add Sauce and Cheese
Spread a generous amount of red sauce on one half of the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
- 3
Add Your Toppings
Choose up to 3 toppings from the selection provided and layer them evenly over the cheese.
- 4
Fold and Seal
Carefully fold the other half of the dough over the filled half to create a pocket. Press the edges together to seal, and use a fork to crimp the edges for extra security.
- 5
Bake the Calzone
Place the calzone on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- 6
Serve
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve with extra red sauce on the side for dipping.
