Ingredients for MoTown Philly Sandwich

Method

Directions for Preparing MoTown Philly Sandwich

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Season the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from skillet and let it rest.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms, green bell pepper, and red onion. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  4. 4

    Slice the Steak

Once the steak has rested, slice it thinly against the grain.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). On each hoagie roll, layer sliced steak, sautéed vegetables, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese.

  6. 6

    Bake the Sandwich

Brush the tops of the sandwiches with garlic butter. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, then slice in half and serve warm.
