Instructions
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
Cut in Butter
Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add Buttermilk
Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Mix gently with a spatula until just combined; do not overmix.
Shape the Dough
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently pat it into a rectangle about 1 inch thick. Fold the dough over itself a few times to create layers.
Cut Biscuits
Use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out biscuits and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
Serve
Remove from the oven and serve warm, with butter or your favorite jam.
