Preparing the Tonic Syrup

Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine the Rootside tonic syrup and cane sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Simmer

Allow the mixture to simmer gently for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool.

Making the Spiced Grape & Kiwi Mixture

Prepare the Fruit

In a separate bowl, combine the grapes, diced kiwi, and ground sumac. Mix well.

Infuse with Spice

Add the cinnamon stick to the fruit mixture and let it sit for about 15 minutes to infuse the flavors.

Combining and Serving

Combine Mixtures

Once the tonic syrup has cooled and the fruit has infused, remove the cinnamon stick and combine both mixtures in a large pitcher.

Serve

Serve over ice in glasses and enjoy the refreshing Bitter Sweet drink.
