Preparing the Espresso

Brew the Espresso
Using an espresso machine or stovetop espresso maker, brew 2 shots of espresso and set aside.
Making the White Chocolate Milk

Heat the Milk
In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of whole milk over medium heat until it is steaming but not boiling.

Melt the White Chocolate
Add 2 tablespoons of white chocolate chips to the steaming milk and whisk continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and combined.
Assembling the Macchiato

Add Espresso
Slowly pour the brewed espresso shots over the milk to create a layered effect.

Drizzle with Dark Chocolate
Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler. Using a spoon, drizzle the melted dark chocolate over the top of the macchiato.

If desired, top the macchiato with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder for extra flavor and presentation.
