Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all ingredients: thinly sliced roast beef, American cheese, mayo, James River BBQ sauce, and onion rolls.

  2. 2

    Mix the Sauces

In a small bowl, combine the mayo and James River BBQ sauce. Stir well until fully mixed and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Toast the Onion Rolls

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the onion rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Spread a generous amount of the mayo-BBQ sauce mixture on the bottom half of each toasted onion roll. Layer the thinly sliced roast beef evenly over the sauce. Top each with 1 slice of American cheese.

  3. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Return the assembled sandwiches to the oven and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.

  4. 6

    Finish and Serve

Remove the sandwiches from the oven and place the top half of the onion rolls on each sandwich. Serve immediately while hot.
