Pulled Pork

Grilled Onions

Mac & Cheese

Method

Pulled Pork

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

In a slow cooker, combine the pork shoulder, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and water.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded. Once cooked, shred the pork using two forks and mix it with the sauce.

Grilled Onions

  1. 3

    Slice and Grill the Onions

Slice the yellow onions into rings. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the onions, and sprinkle with salt. Cook until the onions are caramelized, about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Mac & Cheese

  1. 4

    Cook the Macaroni

In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 5

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.

  3. 6

    Add Cheeses

Reduce heat to low and stir in the cheddar cheese and cream cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.

  4. 7

    Combine Everything

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well. Stir in the pulled pork and grilled onions until evenly distributed.
