For Cooking

Method

Make the Dumpling Filling

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.

Prepare Dumpling Wrappers

  1. 2

    Make Dough

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water while mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

  2. 3

    Roll Out Wrappers

After resting, divide the dough into small pieces. Roll each piece into a thin circle about 3 inches in diameter. Keep the wrappers covered to prevent them from drying out.

Assemble Dumplings

  1. 4

    Fill and Fold

Place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center of each wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper over to create a half-moon shape, and pinch the edges to seal tightly.

Prepare Yuzu Sauce

  1. 5

    Mix Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together yuzu juice, soy sauce, and honey until well combined. Set aside.

Cook Dumplings

  1. 6

    Pan-Sear Dumplings

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the dumplings in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.

  2. 7

    Steam Dumplings

Carefully add 1 cup of water to the skillet and cover immediately with a lid. Steam the dumplings for about 6-8 minutes or until the water has evaporated and the dumplings are cooked through.

Serve

  1. 8

    Plate and Enjoy

Remove the dumplings from the skillet and serve hot with yuzu sauce drizzled over them. Garnish with additional chopped scallions if desired.
