Chicken Marinade

Wonton Strips

Method

Marinating Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking Chicken

  1. 3

    Grill the Chicken

Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Preparing Vegetables

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the chicken is grilling, slice the cucumbers, julienne the carrots, and prepare the shaved cabbage.

Making Wonton Strips

  1. 5

    Fry the Wonton Strips

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Cut wonton wrappers into strips and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 1-2 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assembling Wraps

  1. 6

    Assemble the Wraps

Take a bib lettuce leaf and fill it with sliced grilled chicken, cucumbers, carrots, shaved cabbage, and crispy wonton strips. Drizzle with extra teriyaki sauce if desired.

Optional Shrimp Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Shrimp

If using shrimp, sauté the shrimp in a pan with a tablespoon of teriyaki sauce until cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
