Method

Preparing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Add Tea Leaves

Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add either 2 tablespoons of green tea leaves or black tea leaves, depending on your preference.

  3. 3

    Steep Tea

Cover the saucepan and let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes. The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavor will be.

  4. 4

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the leaves.

Sweetening the Tea

  1. 5

    Add Sweetener

If desired, add 1 tablespoon of sugar or honey to the hot tea and stir until dissolved.

Cooling the Tea

  1. 6

    Cool Down

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until chilled.

Serving the Iced Tea

  1. 7

    Prepare Glasses

Fill glasses with ice cubes (about 1 cup per glass).

  2. 8

    Pour Tea

Pour the chilled tea over the ice-filled glasses.

  3. 9

    Add Flavorings

Garnish with fresh mint leaves, lemon slices, or peach slices as desired.

  4. 10

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing iced tea!
