Method
Preparing the Tea

Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Add Tea Leaves
Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add either 2 tablespoons of green tea leaves or black tea leaves, depending on your preference.

Steep Tea
Cover the saucepan and let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes. The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavor will be.

Strain the Tea
After steeping, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the leaves.
Sweetening the Tea

Add Sweetener
If desired, add 1 tablespoon of sugar or honey to the hot tea and stir until dissolved.
Cooling the Tea

Cool Down
Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until chilled.
Serving the Iced Tea

Prepare Glasses
Fill glasses with ice cubes (about 1 cup per glass).

Pour Tea
Pour the chilled tea over the ice-filled glasses.

Add Flavorings
Garnish with fresh mint leaves, lemon slices, or peach slices as desired.
