Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Make a well in the center of the flour mixture. Add the activated yeast and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  4. 4

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Assembling Pizza

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 7

    Roll Out Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

  3. 8

    Spread Cheese

Place the rolled-out dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet. Sprinkle the mozzarella and provolone cheese evenly over the dough.

  4. 9

    Add Pepperoni

Layer the pepperoni slices generously on top of the cheese.

  5. 10

    Bake Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 11

    Drizzle Hot Honey

Remove the pizza from the oven and drizzle hot honey over the top. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes and garnish with fresh basil leaves.

  7. 12

    Slice and Serve

Slice the pizza into wedges and serve hot.
