Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it is hot enough for roasting the Brussels sprouts.
- 2
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Wash the Brussels sprouts under cold water. Trim the ends and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Cut each sprout in half.
- 3
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from heat, let cool, then crumble the bacon into small pieces.
Roasting
- 4
Toss the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, crumbled bacon, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
- 5
Spread on Baking Sheet
Spread the Brussels sprouts mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 6
Roast the Brussels Sprouts
Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are crispy and caramelized, stirring halfway through.
Finishing Touch
- 7
Add Parmesan
Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, remove them from the oven and immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top while they are still hot.
- 8
Serve
Serve the crispy Brussels sprouts warm as a side dish or appetizer, and enjoy!
