Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ground Beef

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly with your hands until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until browned, then flip. Place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the meat is cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf. Add the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top. Next, add a slice of tomato and pickles. Finally, spread ketchup and mustard to taste on the top half of the bun.

  3. 7

    Complete the Burger

Place the top half of the bun over the assembled ingredients, press down gently, and your classic burger is ready to serve.
