Prepare the Burger Patty

Mix the Beef
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Form Patties
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a half-pound patty. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
Cook the Toppings

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Melt the Beer Cheese
In the last minute of grilling, top each patty with beer cheese and cover to melt.
Assemble the Burger

Build the Burger
On the bottom half of each burger bun, layer lettuce, the grilled patty with melted beer cheese, bacon, sautéed onions, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
