Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently and form into two equal patties, approximately 1/2 pound each.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

Bacon Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 4-6 minutes. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Build the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly if desired. On the bottom half of each bun, layer the lettuce, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, BBQ sauce, onion strings, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
