Preparation

1

Bring to Room Temperature

Remove the Wagyu ribeye steak from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30-45 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking.

2

Season the Steak

In a small bowl, mix together the kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub the olive oil all over the steak, then generously season both sides with the spice mixture.

Cooking

3

Preheat the Grill or Pan

If using a grill, preheat it to high heat. If using a cast-iron skillet, place it over medium-high heat until it is very hot.

4

Cook the Steak

Place the seasoned Wagyu ribeye steak on the grill or skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it. Flip the steak and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

5

Add Butter and Herbs

During the last minute of cooking, add the butter and fresh rosemary sprigs to the pan or onto the grill. Baste the steak with the melted butter and herb mixture for added flavor.

Resting

6

Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest on a cutting board for at least 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Serving

7

Slice and Serve

Slice the Wagyu ribeye against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy with your favorite sides.
