Preparation

1

Wash and Prepare Vegetables

Thoroughly wash the fresh spinach and broccoli florets under cold running water. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Cut the broccoli into smaller bite-sized pieces if needed.

2

Mince Garlic

Peel and mince the garlic cloves finely using a knife or garlic press.

Cooking

3

Heat Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Ensure that the oil is hot but not smoking.

4

Sauté Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Be careful not to let the garlic burn.

5

Add Broccoli

Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.

6

Add Spinach

Gradually add the spinach to the skillet, stirring continuously. The spinach will wilt down significantly, so it may seem like a lot at first.

7

Season and Finish

Once the spinach has wilted (about 2-3 minutes), season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine. Remove from heat and drizzle with fresh lemon juice before serving.
