Waffle Batter Preparation

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.
Waffle Cooking

Preheat Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Cook Waffles
Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or melted butter. Pour the recommended amount of batter onto the center of the hot waffle iron. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, usually about 5 minutes.

Remove Waffles
Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and place them on a plate. Keep warm while you cook the remaining batter.

Whip Cream
In a mixing bowl, add heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip until soft peaks form.
Plating

Place a waffle on a serving plate, dollop with sweet cream topping, and sprinkle with powdered sugar to taste.
