Method
For the Biscuits
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.
- 3
Cut in Butter
Add the unsalted butter to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4
Add Milk
Pour the milk into the mixture. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 5
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently a few times. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle. Cut out biscuits using a round cutter or a glass.
- 6
Bake
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
For the Honeycrisp Apple Cinnamon Butter
- 7
Soften the Butter
Take the unsalted butter out of the fridge and let it soften at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- 8
Mix Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, finely grated Honeycrisp apple, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar. Mix until well blended and creamy.
- 9
Chill
Transfer the apple cinnamon butter to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
