In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Stir together until well blended.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the whole milk and heat until warm, but not boiling.

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
