Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Stir together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Heat Butter and Milk

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the whole milk and heat until warm, but not boiling.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Add the warm milk and melted butter mixture to the dry ingredients. Add the eggs and stir until the dough begins to form.

  4. 4

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Filling Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Filling

In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Mix well.

  2. 7

    Roll Out Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

  3. 8

    Spread Butter and Filling

Spread the softened butter over the surface of the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top.

  4. 9

    Roll and Cut

Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces.

Baking

  1. 10

    Prepare Baking Dish

Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place the cinnamon rolls in the dish, leaving some space between each for rising.

  2. 11

    Let Rise Again

Cover the rolls with a clean towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

  3. 12

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 13

    Bake Rolls

Bake the cinnamon rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Topping Preparation

  1. 14

    Prepare Toppings

Once the rolls are baked, drizzle the chocolate caramel sauce over the warm rolls.

  2. 15

    Dust with Powdered Sugar

Finally, dust the powdered sugar over the top for a sweet finish.
