Fries and Sauce

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Spread the frozen French fries on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat evenly. Bake according to package instructions until crispy and golden brown.

  2. 2

    Make the Vodka Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Carefully pour in the vodka and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.

  3. 3

    Finish the Sauce

Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese, cooking for another 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and stir in chopped basil.

  4. 4

    Combine and Serve

Once the fries are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them on a serving platter. Pour the vodka sauce over the fries and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Return to the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve immediately.
