Garlic Knots

House Marinara Dipping Sauce

Method

Garlic Knots

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangular shape, about 1/2 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cut and Twist

Cut the dough into strips, approximately 1 inch wide. Take each strip and tie it into a knot. Place the knots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Make Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in chopped parsley and salt. Remove from heat.

  4. 4

    Coat the Knots

Brush the garlic butter mixture over the knots generously. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and dried oregano on top.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake the knots in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

House Marinara Dipping Sauce

  1. 6

    Sauté Garlic

In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. 7

    Add Tomatoes and Spices

Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring to a simmer.

  3. 8

    Simmer

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. 9

    Finish with Basil

Once the sauce has thickened, stir in chopped fresh basil. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
