Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Wash the iceberg lettuce and chop it into bite-sized pieces. Dice the tomatoes and set aside. If using jarred roasted red peppers, drain and chop them into strips. Peel and slice the hard boiled eggs. Grate the aged cheddar cheese.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the smoked bacon until crispy. Remove from heat, let it cool slightly, and then crumble it into pieces.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Assemble the Cobb Salad

In a large salad bowl, layer the chopped iceberg lettuce as the base. Then, arrange the diced tomatoes, wood-fired roasted red peppers, sliced hard boiled eggs, crumbled bacon, and grated aged cheddar cheese in sections on top of the lettuce.

  2. 4

    Add the Dressing

Drizzle the ranch dressing evenly over the assembled salad or serve it on the side for individuals to add to taste.

  3. 5

    Serve

Toss the salad gently before serving if desired, or serve as is for a visually appealing presentation.
