Preparation
- 1
Measure the Coffee
Using a measuring spoon, add 2 tablespoons of finely ground Turkish coffee into the cezve.
- 2
Add Water
Pour 100 ml of cold water into the cezve over the coffee grounds.
- 3
Add Sugar (Optional)
If you prefer your Turkish espresso sweetened, add 1 teaspoon of sugar into the cezve and stir gently to combine.
Brewing
- 4
Heat the Cezve
Place the cezve on low heat. Ensure to keep an eye on it as the coffee heats up.
- 5
Watch for Froth
As the coffee heats, it will start to froth. Do not let it boil over. Once you see the froth rising to the top, remove it from the heat.
- 6
Serve the Coffee
Pour the coffee gently into a small coffee cup (demitasse), allowing the grounds to settle at the bottom of the cezve.
