Preparing the Fish

Prepare the Breading
In a shallow dish, mix together flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. In another bowl, beat the egg lightly.

Fry the Fish
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add coated fish fillets in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
Making the Cabbage Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, grated carrot, chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt, and black pepper.

Toss the Slaw
Toss the ingredients together until well mixed. Set aside to let flavors meld while you prepare the tacos.
Preparing the Spicy Aioli

Mix the Aioli
In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, minced garlic, lime juice, and salt until smooth and well combined.
Assembling the Tacos

Warm the Tortillas
In a dry skillet, warm corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds per side until pliable.

On each tortilla, place a few pieces of fried fish, add a generous spoonful of cabbage slaw, a slice of avocado, and drizzle with spicy aioli.

Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for added freshness.
