In a mixing bowl, combine the chia seeds and coconut milk. Stir well to ensure the chia seeds are evenly distributed in the liquid.

Cover the bowl and let the mixture sit in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the chia seeds to soak up the coconut milk and expand.
