Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Artichoke Hearts

Drain the artichoke hearts if using canned ones, and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, place the all-purpose flour in the first bowl, whisk together the eggs in the second bowl, and mix the breadcrumbs with the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in the third bowl.

Breading

  1. 3

    Coat the Artichoke Hearts

Take each artichoke heart, dip it in the flour to coat lightly, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it in the seasoned breadcrumbs. Ensure each heart is evenly coated.

Frying

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry Artichoke Hearts

Carefully add the breaded artichoke hearts to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 6

    Drain

Once cooked, remove the artichoke hearts from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Hot

Serve the fried artichoke hearts hot, optionally with a dipping sauce like aioli or marinara on the side.
