Method

Preparing the Nachos

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the nachos.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tortillas

Cut the corn tortillas into quarters to create tortilla chips. You can also use store-bought tortilla chips if desired.

  3. 3

    Layer the Nachos

On a large baking sheet, spread a layer of the tortilla pieces evenly. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and pepper jack cheese over the tortillas.

  4. 4

    Add Toppings

Evenly distribute the tomatoes, corn, red onions, and jalapenos over the cheese-covered tortilla layer.

  5. 5

    Top with Cheese

Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and pepper jack cheese over the top of the toppings.

Baking

  1. 6

    Bake the Nachos

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  2. 7

    Garnish with Cilantro

Remove the nachos from the oven and sprinkle the chopped cilantro on top for freshness.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve with Sides

Serve the nachos hot with sour cream and pico de gallo on the side for dipping.
