Fried Bananas

Method

Preparation of Fried Bananas

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bananas

Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise. Spread about 2 tablespoons of Nutella on each half.

  2. 2

    Wrap the Bananas

Place the banana halves on a flour tortilla, then fold the tortilla over to fully enclose the bananas. Ensure the edges are sealed, you can use a little water to help seal them if necessary.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pan or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Wrapped Bananas

Carefully place the wrapped bananas in the hot oil, frying them for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5

    Drain the Excess Oil

Once fried, remove the bananas from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Preparation of Toppings

  1. 6

    Prepare Strawberries

Wash the strawberries thoroughly, then slice them into halves or quarters, depending on your preference.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Dish

On a serving plate, place the fried bananas. Drizzle with dulce de leche, top with whipped cream, and finally sprinkle with powdered sugar. Add the sliced strawberries on top or alongside.
