Tuna Salad

Method

Prepare Tuna Salad

  1. 1

    Drain and Flake Tuna

Open the cans of tuna and drain the liquid. Flake the tuna with a fork in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

Add mayonnaise, diced celery, chopped red onion, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the flaked tuna. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

  3. 3

    Chill

Cover the tuna salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Assemble Salad Plate

  1. 4

    Prepare Lettuce Base

Rinse and dry the romaine lettuce. Tear into bite-sized pieces and arrange on a large serving plate.

  2. 5

    Add Tuna Salad

Spoon a generous portion of the chilled tuna salad over the bed of lettuce.

  3. 6

    Garnish with Veggies

Arrange hard boiled egg wedges, cucumber slices, and halved cherry tomatoes around the tuna salad.

  4. 7

    Serve with Sides

Place a serving of coleslaw on the side of the plate and a scoop of cottage cheese next to the salad.
