Prepare the Croutons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the pumpernickel bread into small cubes and toss them in olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until crispy.

Prepare the Salad
Wash the romaine hearts and chop them into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a large salad bowl.

Chop the sun-dried tomatoes and add them to the bowl. Add the shaved Parmesan cheese and the baked pumpernickel croutons.
