Cioppino Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Sauté the Aromatics

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, chopped onion, and bell pepper. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Tomatoes and Liquids

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, fish stock (or clam juice), and white wine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

  3. 3

    Introduce the Seafood

Add the lobster, clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari, and seasonal fish to the pot. Stir gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Simmer

Cover the pot and let the cioppino simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and the clams and mussels have opened.

  5. 5

    Season and Serve

Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot with grilled bread on the side.
