Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Start by slicing the Italian sausage and chopping the bacon lardons into small pieces. Set aside.
- 2
Cook the Meats
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon lardons until crispy. Add the sliced Italian sausage and cook until browned. Remove excess fat if necessary.
- 3
Make the Cream Sauce
Lower the heat and add the Calabrian chili paste and heavy cream to the skillet. Stir to combine and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
- 4
Cook the Eggs
In a separate non-stick pan, fry the eggs sunny side up until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.
- 5
Combine and Serve
Add the sweety drop peppers to the cream sauce and stir. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve the sauce over the cooked pasta, topped with the sunny side up egg and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
