Method
Preparation
- 1
Marinade the Steak
In a bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade. Add the beef steak, ensuring it is thoroughly coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably up to 2 hours.
- 2
Prepare Artichokes and Shrimp
If using canned artichoke hearts, drain and rinse them. If using frozen, thaw them and pat dry. Set aside. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and remove any remaining shell or tails.
Cooking
- 3
Cook the Steak
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, remove the steak from the marinade and place it in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- 4
Sauté the Shrimp and Artichokes
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if necessary. Add the shrimp and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Then add the artichokes and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until heated through.
Serving
- 5
Plate and Garnish
Slice the rested steak against the grain and arrange it on plates. Top with the sautéed shrimp and artichokes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
