Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

Peel and devein the jumbo shrimp, removing the shells and tails. Rinse them under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Mince Garlic

Finely mince the garlic cloves and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  2. 4

    Add the Shrimp

Add the jumbo shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes, turning once, until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

  3. 5

    Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the dry white wine and lemon juice. Stir to deglaze the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.

  4. 6

    Add Butter and Parsley

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the butter until melted. Add chopped parsley for garnish and mix well.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Shrimp Scampi

Serve the shrimp scampi hot, garnished with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
