Prepare the Clams
In a large pot, steam the fresh clams over medium heat until they open, about 5-7 minutes. Discard any clams that do not open. Once cooked, remove the clams from their shells and chop the meat into small pieces, reserving the shells.

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet, crumble, and set aside. Reserve 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the skillet.

Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed clam mixture, breadcrumbs, crumbled bacon, parsley, Parmesan cheese, butter, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
Baking

Stuff the Clams
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Stuff each reserved clam shell with the filling mixture, packing it down slightly.

Bake
Place the stuffed clams on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with lemon wedges if desired.
