Preparation
- 1
Prepare the chicken
Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Prepare the shrimp
If not already done, peel and devein the shrimp. Rinse them under cold water and set aside.
Cooking
- 3
Sauté the chicken
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and sauté for about 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- 4
Cook the shrimp
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.

Combine and finish
If using, add white wine to the skillet and let it simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly. Squeeze in lemon juice, add red pepper flakes (if using), and stir to combine. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce. Cook together for an additional 2 minutes.

Garnish and serve
Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the dish and serve immediately.
