Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it's hot enough to toast the garlic bread.
- 2
Mince the Garlic
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves using a knife or a garlic press. Set aside.
- 3
Chop the Parsley
Wash and finely chop the fresh parsley leaves. Ensure no stems are included, and measure out 2 tablespoons.
Making the Garlic Butter
- 4
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- 5
Assembling the Garlic Bread
- 6
Slice the Baguette
Take the French baguette and slice it in half lengthwise. You can also slice it into smaller pieces if desired.
- 7
Baking
- 8
Bake the Bread
Place the prepared baguette halves on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
- 9
Optional Broil
For extra crispiness, you can broil the garlic bread for an additional 1-2 minutes, monitoring closely to prevent burning.
Serving
- 10
Serve Warm
Remove the garlic bread from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing into smaller pieces if not already done. Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.
