Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Incorporate Tomatoes
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked penne pasta with the meat sauce, mixing well to ensure the pasta is evenly coated.

Transfer the pasta and sauce mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
