Method
Prepare the Dough
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- 2
Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.
- 3
Knead Dough
Mix until a dough forms. Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Prepare the Pizza

Preheat Oven

- 7
Add Toppings
Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread the crushed tomatoes evenly over the base, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- 8
Bake Pizza
Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- 9
Add Prosciutto and Arugula
Once out of the oven, layer the aged prosciutto slices on top. Then add fresh arugula and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese.
- 10
Finish with Seasoning
Drizzle with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
- 11
