Season the beef chuck roast with salt and black pepper. In a large skillet, sear the roast on all sides until browned. Transfer to a slow cooker.

Pour the blended sauce over the beef in the slow cooker. Add bay leaves. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.

Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard bay leaves.

In a dry skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side.
