Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushroom Caps

Clean the portobello mushroom caps and remove the stems. Brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Grill the Mushrooms

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the mushroom caps on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until tender and grill marks appear.

  3. 3

Prepare the Tomato and Garlic Mix

Finely chop the tomato and garlic cloves. In a small bowl, mix them together and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Once the mushrooms are done grilling, place them on the bottom half of the burger buns. Add a layer of the tomato and garlic mix, followed by a slice of provolone cheese. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the cheese.

  5. 5

    Add Lettuce and Onion

Top with lettuce leaves and onion slices. Place the top half of the burger bun on top to complete.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the portobello burger immediately with your favorite side.
