Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

Rub the brisket all over with salt and black pepper. Smoke or slow-cook the brisket at 225°F (107°C) for 8-10 hours until tender. Once cooked, let it rest for at least 30 minutes before chopping into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Make the Coleslaw

In a bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, and apple cider vinegar. Mix well until the coleslaw is evenly coated. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer the chopped burnt brisket ends. Drizzle BBQ sauce over the brisket, then top with a generous portion of coleslaw. Finally, add a handful of frizzled onions before placing the top bun.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve the sandwiches immediately with your choice of side, such as potato chips, fries, or a side salad.
